Extra details

Available ordering format:Lyophilized
Immunogen:synthetic peptide derived from human alpha-synuclein N-terminal Met1-Val15
Raised in:Mouse
Purification:Affinity purified
How to reconstitute:For reconstitution add 50 µl of sterile water.
Storage condition:For short time storage add sodium azide and store at +4°C. For long time storage store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.
Verified applications:ELISA (ELISA)

Scientific context:Alpha-synuclein is normally an unstructured soluble protein that can aggregate to form insoluble fibrils in pathological conditions characterized by Lewy bodies, such as Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy-bodies, and multiple system atrophy. In analogy to many other amyloid associated disorders, alpha-synuclein may also form oligomeric assemblies. These small and soluble forms have been suggested to exert a stronger tissue damaging effect as compared to the monomeric and fibrillar counterpart. Using a recently developed technique a monoclonal oligomer-specific antibody has been designed.
Notes:This antibody is biotinylated.Cross reactivity of this antibody to synuclein beta was not determined.

Description:The ASyM-biotinylated, Mouse anti- alpha synuclein N-terminal is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Test:agisera supplies antibodies that are for research of human proteins.Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
Properties:Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
Latin name:Mus musculus
