Extra details

Target of this antibody::Jarid1c
Alternative names of antibody target::KDM5C, MRXJ, MRXSJ, SMCX, XE169
Background information::Jarid1c is a histone demethylase which specifically demethylates lysine 4 of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in the regulation of transcription and chromatin remodelling. Jarid1c demethylates the trimethylated and dimethylated lysine 4, but not the monomethylated form. Further, Jarid1c participates in transcriptional repression of neuronal genes by recruiting histone deacetylases and REST at neuron-restrictive silencer elements. Mutations in the Jarid1c gene have been associated with X-linked mental retardation.
Antibody host::Rabbit
Clonality of antibody::Polyclonal
Isotype::Rabbit IgG
Clone::N/A
This antibody reacts with::Human, mouse.
Immunogene sequence::Polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against mouse Jarid1c (jumonji, AT rich interactive domain 1C), using 3 KLH-conjugated synthetic peptides containing sequences from the inner part of the protein.
Concentration of antibody::N/A
Form of antibody::Liquid
Formulation of this antibody::In PBS with 0.05% (W/V) sodium azide.
Purification method::Whole Anti-Sera
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods::Western blot, ELISA.
Recommended usage::Western Blot: 1:1000, ELISA: 1:500.
Storage information::Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Shipping conditions::gel pack
How to handle this antibody::The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
Description:This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Properties:If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Group:Polyclonals and antibodies
About:Polyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera.
French translation:anticorps
