Target of this antibody::CD164
Alternative names of antibody target::Sialomucin core protein 24, MUC-24, Endolyn, Multi-glycosylated core protein 24, MGC-24, MGC-24v, CD164
Background information::Sialomucin that may play a key role in hematopoiesis by facilitating the adhesion of CD34+ cells to the stroma and by negatively regulating CD34+CD38(lo/-) cell proliferation. Modulates the migration of umbilical cord blood CD133+ cells and this is mediated through the CXCL12/CXCR4 axis. May play an important role in prostate cancer metastasis and the infiltration of bone marrow by cancer cells. Promotes myogenesis by enhancing CXCR4-dependent cell motility. Positively regulates myoblast migration and promotes myoblast fusion into myotubes.
Antibody host::Rabbit
Clonality of antibody::Polyclonal
Isotype::Rabbit IgG
This antibody reacts with::Human, Mouse, Rat
Immunogene sequence::Synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of human CD164 at AA range: 110-190
Form of antibody::Liquid
Formulation of this antibody::In PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide
Purification method::Affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen

Recommended usage::ELISA 1:5000-1:20000; IHC 1:100-1:300
Storage information::Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Shipping conditions::gel pack
How to handle this antibody::The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use
Description:This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Properties:If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Group:Polyclonals and antibodies
About:Polyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera.
